Registration opens on May 1!
23 April 2021The challenge continues
The BUT Challenge time is not over yet: it is in fact possible to participate in the virtual race on the wonderful paths of Val Formazza until 1st October.
With BUT go to the Golden Trail World Champ!
There is one more reason to compete on our trails: BUT Challenge, in its Skyrace route (35 km) is valid as a qualifying test for the “Golden Trail World Champ”: the new format that will take place in the Azores from 29/ 10/2020 to 01/11/2020.
The organizers of the “Golden Trail World Champ” in view of the 2020 edition have organized, worldwide, a new format that provides for how candidate athletes can challenge themselves and their opponents virtually through the Strava platform. Golden Segment (GS) is essentially a timed loop on a dedicated application capable of generating a ranking in real time and online.
Italian athletes who aspire to participate in the “Golden Trail World Champ” must refer to the routes planned for the Transpelmo and BUT, which together with the TCE, the Windows of Stone and the final scheduled for the Veia Sky Race were the Italian trials on the calendar of the 2020 Golden Trail National Series before the Coronavirus emergency.
The invitation for athletes is therefore to cover one of the foreseen segments of the Transpelmo and/or of the BUT as fast as possible, in order to be able to win the “Golden Ticket”, useful for participating in the Golden Trail Championship in the Azores. The Golden Segment Italy BUT will remain “open” until October 1, 2020.
Up for grabs are 2 “Golden Tickets” per race, one for the best woman and one for the best man. As mentioned, the Golden Tickets entitle you to participate in the Golden Trail World Championship in the Azores, with flight, hotel accommodation and meals for a maximum of 8 days included in the Golden Ticket and, of course, the coveted bib.
We remind you that there is no registration fee for the Bettelmatt Challenge: further information on how to participate and the complete regulation will be disseminated on the BUT Formazza website and on the event’s social channels.
In the meantime, we remind you that BUT will return on July 10, 2021!
