BUT Formazza is coming!

BUT Formazza: changes in the BUT and BSR routes due to snow, two more days to register!
8 July 2024Here we are: registrations will open on 9 February for the 2024 edition of BUT Formazza, the Trail scheduled for 13 July in the majestic alpine scenery of Alta Val Formazza, in northern Piedmont.
The big news for the 2023 edition has been confirmed!
After the successful experiment of the 2022 Skyrunning World Championships, the starts of all the races, as already happened in 2023, will be in Valdo – Formazza, at around 1,200 m, in the party area of the Municipality of Formazza, in a much appreciated location by the participants and very functional also from a logistical point of view.

The 2023 routes are also very confirmed: Bettelmatt Ultra Trail will therefore follow the route that saw Cristian Minoggio and Giuditta Turini triumph in 2022: 57 km and 3150 m D+- are the characteristics of the long route, which touches some of the most spectacular points of Val Formazza , starting from Refuge 3A, at almost 3,000 m above sea level, as well as touching the lakes Vannino, Morasco (twice), Sabbione, Toggia and Castel.
The Bettelmatt Super Race, 39 km by 2,520 m D+-, will develop on the first part of the long race route, therefore also in this case touching the 3,000 m of Refuge 3A.
Bettelmatt Race, 22 km for 1,320 m D+-, shares the initial stretch of the other two races, but once it has crossed the Nefelgiù Pass, another characteristic point of BUT, it will descend directly towards Valdo: all three routes will therefore touch one of the most famous in the entire valley, the Toce Waterfall.
The race for the little ones and less trained adults has also been confirmed: Bettelmatt Mini Trail, 6 km for approximately 200 m D+. Whatever the distance, the constant will still be that of the High Altitude Emotions that only BUT can provide!
