19 June 2019BUT Formazza, emotions at high altitude on July 13th! Exactly one month to go to BUT Formazza, the event organized by ASD Formazza Event which will bring together trail runners from all over the world on July 13th.
There are four routes planned, all starting and finishing in Riale, in Alta Val Formazza, according to the formula that was so successful last year: Bettelmatt Trail 52 km and 3,296 m D+-, Bettelmatt Skyrace 35 km and 1,940 m D+ -, Bettelmatt Race 22km and 750m D+-, Bettelmatt Mini Trail La Stampa 8km. All the routes are characterized by the spectacular high mountain landscapes that have already enchanted and fascinated thousands of runners and walkers: currently at high altitude, the highest point of the 52 km and 35 km route is Refuge 3A, at 3,000 masl, there there is still a lot of snow, and the organization is closely monitoring the situation.
Athletes from 11 nations
Meanwhile, almost 500 athletes are already registered for the three longest distances. The figure of the nations represented, already 11, is also striking: Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, France, Norway, Poland, Romania, the United States, Switzerland, as proof of the ever-increasing international attention towards this event.
Solidarity great protagonist
Solidarity will be the protagonist at BUT Formazza as never before: it has already been announced that for each participant in BT 52 km, BSR 35 km and BR 22 km, ASD Formazza Event will donate €1 to Associazione Dynamo Camp, the famous non-profit organization which offers free Recreational Therapy programs to children aged 6 to 17, suffering from serious and chronic pathologies, their families and healthy brothers and sisters. The proceeds from the fourth race, the 8 km Bettelmatt Mini Trail La Stampa, will once again be donated to the family of Marco Bacher, a boy from Formazza who, following a serious accident suffered a few years ago, requires 24-hour assistance and continuous care.
Registrations open!
Until 7 July it will be possible to register for BT 52 km and BSR 35 km, while on 13 July it will still be possible to register for BR 22 km and BMT La Stampa 8 km.
