Another recognition of the growth of BUT Formazza: in 2019 the event organized by Formazza Event, scheduled for July 13, will be part of the Golden Trail National Series Italy, which was born this year, together with the circuits of France, Spain, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, after last year’s success in the Golden Trail World Series.
As stated in the official press release of the circuit “The declination towards a “National” concept of the Golden Trail Series aims to attract all trail enthusiasts and athletes to a single national “super circuit”, with the possibility for members to compete in local level with many of the world’s best off-road running interpreters. All this by taking part in what are considered to be among the most beautiful races in individual countries.”
The inclusion in this circuit is a confirmation of the growing appreciation for an event like BUT Formazza, capable of attracting thousands of enthusiasts to the splendid scenery of Val Formazza.
The Golden Trail National Series Italia race calendar includes:
TCE Euganean Hills Crossing – 14 April (21.6km, 1.200D+)
Windows of Stone – May 19 (44km, 2.200D+)
BUT Bettelmat Sky Race – July 13 (35km, 1.940D+)
DoloMyths Run Skyrace – 21 July (22km, 1.950D+) valid as an international appointment as it is also included in the Golden Trail World Series 2019
Transpelmo – 1 September (18.5km, 1.300D+)
The Final will be on 7 September 2019 La Veia Skyrace (31km, 2.600D+)
The first three men and women of GTNS Italia will get the ticket to participate in the Golden Trail World Series in 2020.
We recall that BUT Formazza is also part of the VCO Top Race Circuit and that, with its longest distances, Bettelmatt Trail of 52 km D+ 3.296 m and Bettelmatt Sky Race of 35 km D+ 1940 m, is a qualifying race for the UTMB, assigning respectively 3 (BT 52 km) and 2 points (BR 35 km).
