Word of Francesca Canepa: run in Val Formazza!
24 April 2019
Good Night
30 May 2019BUT Formazza, an initiative in favor of Dynamo Camp
Those who will race BUT Formazza, scheduled for July 13 in Alta Val Formazza (VB), will do themselves some good, because they will give themselves the opportunity to experience the High Altitude Emotions that are the trademark of the event, and to the others: in fact, in 2019, for each participant in the Bettelmatt Trail 52 km, Bettelmatt Skyrace 35 km, Bettelmatt Race 22 km, ASD Formazza Event, which organizes BUT Formazza, will donate €1 to the Dynamo Camp Association, the famous non-profit organization that offers free Recreational Therapy programs for children aged 6 to 17, suffering from serious and chronic pathologies, their families and healthy brothers and sisters. The activities take place at Dynamo Camp and, thanks to Dynamo Programs, outside the Camp in hospitals, associations and family homes in major Italian cities.
“For us – says the president of Formazza Event, Gianluca Barp – it is a pleasure and an honor to support a significant reality like Dynamo Camp; our event has grown, and we have felt the need to also expand our solidarity projects: the opportunity to be able to help the youngest thanks to Dynamo Camp has thrilled all the staff.”
Dynamo Camp is a project conceived and implemented by the Dynamo Foundation, the corporate foundation of the Intek Group; since 2007, Dynamo Camp has hosted 7,607 children free of charge in Camper Only programs, 7,269 children, teenagers and parents in family programs and reached 20,840 children in Outreach, thus offering Recreational Therapy programs to over 35,000 people; it involved and trained 6,420 volunteers and currently has 55 employees and 81 seasonal staff. The Dynamo Camp network includes 158 hospitals and associations throughout Italy.
Solidarity does not end there
Support for Dynamo Camp will not be the only solidarity moment on 13 July: as is now a beautiful custom, the proceeds from the last scheduled race, the 8 km Bettelmatt Mini Trail La Stampa, will be donated to the family of Marco Bacher, a boy from Formazza who, following a serious accident suffered a few years ago, needs 24-hour assistance and continuous care.
