ART. 1 GENERAL INFORMATIONS
ASD Formazza Event promotes BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE
ART. 2 EVENTS
The event proposes an individual Challenge in total autonomy in the Municipality of Formazza (VB), based on the GPX tracks of Bettelmatt Trail 55.6 km, Bettelmatt SkyRace 36.7 km, Bettelmatt Race 17.5 km.
ART. 3 PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
For participation in the event, previous participation in other events is not required, but it is necessary:
be absolutely aware of the length and specificity of the race and be perfectly prepared.
to have acquired, before the race, a real capacity for personal autonomy in the mountains in order to better manage the problems related to this type of test and in particular:
a. knowing how to face alone, without help, climatic conditions that could become difficult due to altitude (night, wind, cold, fog, rain or snow)
b. be able to manage, even if isolated, physical or psychological problems due to great tiredness, gastrointestinal problems, musculoskeletal pain
ART. 4 TOTAL AUTONOMY
BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE is run independently, there will be no refreshment points on the tracks nor any support from the organization
ART. 5 REGISTRATION
For BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE there is no registration or no registration fee
ART 6. PARTICIPATION
Record your GPS track from the totem that you will find in Riale Formazza and stop it on your arrival at the same point.
The automatic pause option must be disabled.
Once you download the track, your gpx send it with your name, surname, telephone number to email@example.com
ART. 7 EQUIPMENT
We recommend, for your safety, to bring the following material with you while running on the tracks of BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE:
- Bag / Pouch
- Mobile phone
- Bottles or Camel Bag with a water reserve of at least 1 liter
- Headlamp working with spare batteries
- Thermal sheet
- Elastic adhesive bandage suitable for making a bandage or strapping
- Food reserve
- Waterproof jacket with hood to face extreme conditions and intense cold in the mountains
- Cap, cap or bandana
- Warm clothing to deal with extreme conditions and intense cold in the mountains
- Warm spare clothing in case of bad weather conditions or in case of accidents

ART. 8 START
BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE can be run, without limits for the departure time, from 1st July to 20th September 2020 included.
All tracks sent before or after these dates will not be considered.
ART. 9 COURSE
The course is mainly developed on dirt paths and white roads.
Competitors must strictly respect the race course, made public via GPX track. In the case of passages on roads open to car traffic, the current Highway Code must be respected.
Removal from the official track will result in failure to be included in the final classification.
ART. 10 ENVIRONMENT
Competitors must behave in an environmentally friendly manner, in particular by avoiding the dispersal of waste, collecting flowers or harassing fauna.
Anyone who is surprised to abandon waste along the route will be disqualified from the race and will incur any penalties provided for by municipal regulations.
ART. 11 SAFETY
On the way there will be no type of assistance and control by the organization.
ART. 12 CONTROL POINTS
BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE is in TOTAL autonomy, there will be no control and refueling points.
No hourly barrier will be established along the routes; instead there will be a time limit for each GPX track.
Maximum travel time
- BT 51.3km 13 hours
- BRS 32.2 km 9 hours
- Br 17,5 km 6 hours
GPX tracks with travel times outside the maximum times will not be included in the ranking.
We trust everyone’s honesty not to use the Automatic Pause.
ART. 13 PRIZES
the first 3 classified among men and the first 3 classified among women for each track will be awarded with typical products of the land of Ossola. Other prizes offered by our Sponsors will be drawn among all participants.
ART 14. TRACKS SIGNALS
BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE is run on official CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) trails.
FormazzaEvent staff will take care to report the less clear passages with yellow arrows on the stones. Water soluble ink will be used so as not to leave any trace.

ART. 15 RIGHTS OF IMAGE
The images that competitors will send to Formazza Event during their participation in BUT SALOMON CHALLENGE will be published on the website www.butformazza.it and on the social media of the event.
Consequently, by sending, the participants authorize the organization to use the images, fixed and in motion, free of charge, without territorial and time limits, which portray them on the occasion of participation
ART. 16 PRIVACY
Information on the processing of personal data
By registering, the athlete accepts the processing of data according to the following. According to the art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and art. 13 of the European Regulation on Data Processing, we inform you that the data collected will be subjected to appropriate processing to guarantee security and confidentiality.
Your personal information or that of another subject, provided by you, will be processed for the following purposes:
1. Participation and event management, including all activities related to safety obligations.
2. Transmission of your personal contact data (eg name, surname, email) to the sponsors or promoters of the event. The consent to the purpose number 1 is obligatory and without it it is not possible to allow participation in the event, the consent number 2 is optional.
The Data Controller is the organizer of the event. The updated list of internal and external managers is available from the Data Controller.
The data will be kept by the promoter for 12 months. by Italian and EU legislation send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The right to file a complaint with the Guarantor Authority is guaranteed.
